Hotel Oxford

Oxford Hotel is good for budget travelers located in city centre all major transit connectivity nearby the hotel. rooms are big, good lighting, big wash room, good housekeeping. Although there are some disadvantages like no fridge, poor internet connectivity and lack of speaking English ability in staff. Overall experience is good.

My Room was large and spacious, nothing fancy very basic but clean, location is excellent though at night depending the time you may see some working girl's in the area

We, my husband and I, have been here two years in a row. We are pleased with the front desk staff who are very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. The room is kept clean and the pricing is fair. The location makes it easy to get around the central parts of the city, from the Zocolo to the zoo. We really like the eclectic neighborhood and the local street food. When we come to Mexico City, this is where we stay and recommend to all our friends.

Staff are super friendly and the rooms are huge for the price. Really close to 2 metro lines. Loads of local cafes and bars. Great spot on a budget! Clean and tidy. Hot water works great and reliable Wifi! Highly recommend!

Basic, but safe and adequate if you're on a budget. Large rooms, friendly staff, daily room service.

When we first arrived, the front desk was so warm and welcoming. We had a wheelchair and since the hotel is so old, they are grandfathered in as far as accessibility is concerned. No worries, they quickly built a wood ramp and retrofit it to the 3 steps leading to the 3 person only sized elevator. They gave us the only suite on the floor for the wheelchair person. Next, they gave us a rundown on how to navigate the area. They told us not to worry about our luggage as they would take care of it. And when we tried to take it to our rooms, the staff got offended. Haha. They said to allow them to do their jobs. A good 20 pieces of luggage for 8 people. The bar staff and kitchen staff at breakfast were also just amazing. I never expected that level of service in such an old building. I have a feeling that’s why the hotel is still in business though. The rooms were sparkling clean. The shower was a mini fire hose. Who can be mad at that. Mannnn, I wanted to try that bidet so bad. But no way anywhere but at home. Haha. I can’t say enough about that old narrow halls hotel. Don’t worry about that though. The service and cleanliness makes up for it not being new and shiny (and definitely not as clean as the big places). The Trevi fountain is a mile away and the Vatican is 4 miles away. Uber and taxis are available all over. Thanks Hotel Oxford for a wonderful experience!!!

Good cheap place. Nice staff, right across from a park. A little musty and the internet isn't strong but that comes with the cost. The layout inside is clearly designed as a liaison hotel but in the 2 weeks I stayed there were families staying, business people. If you're saving your money and don't mind some flavor, it's a good pick. Many ladies of the night in the area, if that's your style, or if you just want to have a nice chat.
